Did not work. I can open Acrobat Reader from the icon but as soon as I try to open a file with File-Open or select any other option like Edit-Preferences, the program closes by itself. If i try to open a pdf from the desktop, the cursor spins for 5 seconds and nothing happens. Note that you cannot repair a damaged PDF itself. If you want the browser to open PDF files in a separate Acrobat window, configure the browser to use Acrobat or Adobe Reader as a helper application. Then, when you select a PDF file in Internet Explorer or AOL, the browser opens the PDF file in an Acrobat window instead of the browser window.
